When you observe recurring worries and negative thoughts during meditation or throughout your day, you can write them all down on a list, burn the list, and bury the ashes in the yard or in a plant.
As you burn the list and bury it, think to yourself, "I am letting go of these negative thoughts. The ashes of this negativity will nourish new growth in me."
You can do this once every two weeks or so. You'll either notice that your list is getting shorter and shorter, or you'll observe one item that stays on the list, and then you can decide to deal with it, either by yourself or with a partner.
Letting go of negative thoughts and worries will free up your energy.
