Message from The Guides: What is Equilibrium?

What is Equilibrium-

Today we would like to tell you about factors that affect human beings. The theme is "equilibrium."

As you have probably noticed, both balancing and unbalancing play roles in nature. A tree grows as tall as her roots grow deep, and that's "balance." A huge storm knocks over a tree, and that's "imbalance."

Humans tend to see balance and imbalance as positive and negative, as a "good guy" and a "bad guy." Like the yin/yang symbol, however, there is always a little dark in the light and a little light in the dark. On this plane, at least.

Today we are also going to address the subject of Time. Perhaps you have heard predictions, such as the one that says that the world was going to end in 2012, according to the Mayan calendar. Or on this date or that.

We would prefer to concentrate on the present, not the future, but we will take this opportunity to ask, "Well, what if this is true? Are your relationships where you want them to be?"

Love takes only an instant. It's the decision to put aside your hurt and your fear. It's the decision to say, "Now I am ready, although I may not feel ready. I forgive myself and my past. I forgive you for everything. Right now, I can love."

Love takes only an instant, but it also takes a commitment of many "now's" among humans. What we mean is that people need to feel the steady flame of your love, not the shooting star of your love. That's how people are.

It could be due to the "inconstancy" of events (and continuity is a very human demand) or due to their own faulty perception (for example, perhaps love is there, but not packaged in their preferred way, so they are not able to perceive it). In any case, if people don't see or feel something on a regular basis, they discount its presence and its reality as an anomaly, a fluke, or maybe a miracle. But they don't trust it.

In the spirit world there is only the "now" and love does not flicker or fade. Even though we don't have continuous communication with each other all the time, we understand our love is constant, so we don't feel insecure.

Humans don't feel insecure all the time, however. Humans are also very courageous. For instance, there was a woman named Helen Keller who was blind and deaf, but she learned how to use sign language and even to speak. A physically vulnerable human being, she always worked with a companion nearby. You would have imagined her to feel very insecure and needy, but in fact she said these famous words about security:

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

In your own life now, lovingly allow both balance and imbalance. Accept both with an open heart and with curiosity about what will happen next. And give change a little more time to unfold than you have in the past. Nature's cycles are in the "now," but humans tend to watch the clock!

If you can, love more frequently and more consistently. This will help you attune your rhythms to those of the Earth.

With love, The Guides
