New effective way to release anger, using essential oils, via Carolyn Mein

She says one can anoint the head with the oil and then breathe it in, imagining the negative emotion and then its opposite.

I tried it myself when I had a huge wobble recently. I grabbed a bottle of essential oil off the shelf (I didn't use the 'recomended' oil because I didn't have it!) and proceeded with the technique.

One small modification: after I inhaled and recalled the scene that made me angry, I exhaled sharply as if to purge it from my system. That seemed to help.
