Why Retreat?

Exhausted? Like bone-crushingly tired?

Overwhelmed? Anxious and stressed and "This is all too much!"

Me, too, I get it!!

I have SO many things to do, and I feel overly responsible for everyone and everything around me.

How can I escape? When I escape, the tasks are still there, waiting for me! I need another solution.

I need superpowers.

What is a superpower that you can access in just a few days, that will last a long, long time?

Inner stillness.

With stillness, there is "no hurry, no pause." You can tackle everything on your to do list, and cross out a quarter of the items because you realize they are no longer important. You know what to do and how to do it! Stillness is a magical medicine.

It just takes a few days of commitment and guidance to get there.

I've done retreats before, and they've totally changed my life. For the first time EVER, on a retreat the critical voice in my head dwindled down to nothing. For the first time EVER, on a retreat I cared but I didn't care, if you know what I mean. I took things one breath and one moment at a time.

And the surprising thing was that the positive effects of the retreat lasted for months afterwards! I became efficient, powerful, and confident.

I've gone on ten-day silent retreats that were amazing (three times, in fact) but to be honest, ten days is a long time away from home.

I'd like to recommend to you a short retreat.

Just a few days away, preferably with no electronics (or a disciplined 20 minute check-in every day), contact with nature, perhaps a teacher and some learning, lots of sleep, good food, and journaling.

It's a re-boot, a re-set. It gives you superpowers. It doesn't have to be expensive or complicated.

Is it time for you to retreat? What's your plan? Please share it with us in a comment below, even if it's just in the "vague idea" stage at this point. We all need some inspiration right now!
