QUESTION ABOUT MOVING

Christine
The next question was, "Should I stay in Johannesburg for now?" First step --

Shannon Walbran
Right, please draw a card from the map box? The map deck. Thank you.

Christine
Do I need to reshuffle, Shannon, or not?

Shannon Walbran
No, you don't need to shuffle. Can I ask you to do it in a new way though? Can you spread them out across the table like this? That's right. Do you see that one that's sticking out about halfway through? Oops. [Laughs] Okay, there was a good one, but okay, that's fine. It's gone now. Do you see the one that is catching air? It's about -- nope, move to the other side of the deck -- that one! Yeah, pull that one.

Christine
This is my daughter. And it's the mom nurturing the daughter. I'm guessing the possible answer would be: what is in her interest?

Shannon Walbran
Bring the camera up so I can see your face again? How do you know that ... We see a mommy giraffe and a baby giraffe. And the word is "Encouragement." Hold it still so I can see it? Okay, got it. How do you know that this is your daughter? Because you've pulled it before?

Christine
Yeah.

Shannon Walbran
Good! You're creating a dialogue in which every time you see this one, you know, aha, they're talking about my child.

Christine
It's what my child needs, and it's African.

Shannon Walbran
It is, isn't it?

Christine
But I don't know, it's always gonna be African. What if it was "leave the country?" I don't know.

Shannon Walbran
Is the whole Map Deck about Africa? Or is it from all over the world?

Christine
Must be all over the world.

Shannon Walbran
Pull a random card that is non meaningful? Go ahead? That doesn't look African to me. It looks Celtic with "sage" overtones.

Christine
It's not all African, I guess. No. This is African. Bush.

Shannon Walbran
Okay.

Christine
Not city. Yeah.

Shannon Walbran
Back to the immediate question. "Should I stay in Joburg?" You're getting at least an African vibe.

Christine
I'm getting a double message here.

Shannon Walbran
Go ahead.

Christine
I'm getting "what's best for your daughter." And I think intuitively I know being here is best for her in terms of her dad and she loves her dad. Yeah. However, the bush is behind me there which is not city, not Johannesburg.

Shannon Walbran
You could theoretically move 2 hours out of town, somewhere like Nelspruit or Bela Bela or somewhere like that. She could still have easy access.

Christine
Funny, Nelspruit is on my radar. Funny you said that

Shannon Walbran
Yeah, funny. That's how I work. I get the little messages. Because I didn't say Magaliesburg, did I, and I didn't say Free State.

Christine
I like Nelspruit.

Shannon Walbran
For people who aren't from Joburg, Nelspruit is on the way to Kruger right? It's near the big national parks. It's wilder than the big city of skyscrapers and streets of Joburg. Now we do a follow up card. This is where we go with that. Take that giraffe card and move it out of the deck.

Christine
I must find it, I put it back in again.

Shannon Walbran
[Laughs],

Christine
Sorry, Shannon, I'm a terrible student! Where did I put it?

Shannon Walbran
Well, if you can't find it, you can redraw but then we'll skip it.

Christine
It's out.

Shannon Walbran
Now we ask it like this: "Having interpreted that probably, I'm going to stay in South Africa. Okay, I get it. Could I please have an indication if Nelspruit would be a good place for me to move to?" What we're really asking is, "Is Nelspruit good?"

I'm ready. Can you do the spread out the cards again across the table? Right. Do you see where they -- AH! -- stop? Do you see where they break right in front of you?

Christine
The two?

Shannon Walbran
Nope. I don't know which hand that is. Take your right hand and give me one finger. Yep. Put your right finger down. That one that's sticking out? Yeah.

Christine
NO!

Shannon Walbran
What does it say?

Christine
"Rock Bottom." Terrible!

Shannon Walbran
Turn it so I can see it? It's upside down for me. What is that a picture of? I don't understand it.

Christine
It's a pit.

Shannon Walbran
It says "Rock Bottom," and it's a pit.

Christine
Yeah.

Shannon Walbran
Going back to our question, it was, "Is Nelspruit good for me?" The answer is "Rock Bottom." That is definitely a no. Put the card away out of the deck. Right. Bring the cards back together. Oh, but you said there was another one that was sticking up.

Christine
There's another one here.

Shannon Walbran
Yeah, go ahead. Let's see it. What does that say? "Talisman."

Christine
"Talisman." Like it's guided.

Shannon Walbran
"Talisman" is guided. There's a winding road in front of you. A talisman is a charm. Can you tilt the camera so I can see your face again? Thanks. It's a charm. It can be something that you wear, a necklace, a pendant, They're giving me a clue that you got something. Are you wearing a necklace at the moment?

Christine
No.

Shannon Walbran
Do you have a necklace, do you wear a necklace? Does your daughter wear a necklace? Something that you got when you were on a trip? When you went on this trip, you got this bracelet - necklace - charm thing? What does that bring to mind?

Christine
No, I inherited a chain that often wear from my aunt.

Shannon Walbran
Let's hear about it? Where is your aunt?

Christine
The Hamsa. She passed away. She wore it often. And so I wear it. And I don't know where she got it from, but it's a similar color. It's the turquoise.

Shannon Walbran
Good clue. Hamsa is Muslim. We're looking at Dubai, the Middle East, another country. Where is your aunt from?

Christine
She's from Cape Town. Born in Cape Town, lived in Johannesburg. South African but her but her husband worked in Saudi for about two years, he was an engineer. And I think that's what she brought it from.

Shannon Walbran
And she had an affinity for Middle Eastern culture, so she knew what the Hamsa meant she knew that it was a

Christine
No, she didn't enjoy it there. She came back early.

Shannon Walbran
But she gave you that as protection. So that's kind of a puzzle, isn't it? What about Cape Town? Is it on your list?

Christine
No, I've tried Cape Town, I don't like Cape Town.

Shannon Walbran
We were doing the "Is it Nelspruit?" question. The answer was "No." So having removed the "Talisman" and getting an idea about the aunt, not Cape Town, taking Cape Town off of the list. Put the cards one more time back together. Do you have another insight about it?

Christine
The way I'm reading this is that I don't need to make that decision now. It will be a natural progression. It will be -- I'll be guided, it'll be work, or -- we've got the yin / yang over here. So it's where I'll feel balanced, and making it will be an automatic, won't be a decision it will be a transition.

Shannon Walbran
So then I use muscle testing to just get a yes or no to ask, "Should we pursue this question any further or should we let it go? Should we pursue this question one step further?" No, no, you're good. Let's move on to your next question.

Christine
She really loves horses. If we move to the country, there's a beautiful place called Magoebaskloof. I don't know if you know of it, it's really lovely.

Shannon Walbran
We could put it on the list, couldn't we?

Christine
I love being there. Who knows, maybe that's where we'll be headed. Then she can have a horse.

Shannon Walbran
Do want to go back and draw a map card on that?

Christine
We could draw a map card. It's not far from Nelspruit.

Shannon Walbran
It's not Nelspruit. Nelspruit itself, They gave the Big Thumbs Down.Right.

Christine
It's not far. It's in the area but it's a different vibe completely.

Shannon Walbran
It's a different biome. They're showing me it's got dark forests, and it's much wetter with rain. Can you say the name again? I don't know that place.

Christine
Magoebaskloof.

Shannon Walbran
Magoebaskloof. Maybe I'll get that pronunciation right!

Christine
The fields are English countryside in the middle of a tropical surround. It's a very strange place.

Shannon Walbran
Let's get a call on Magoebaskloof. Do you see where it broke there? One more. Put your finger down. Oops. I think there's a bit of a lag. Go back. There you go, stop. Put your finger down. That one.

What did you get?

Christine
"Cleaning house."

Shannon Walbran
"Cleaning house!"

Christine
What I'm getting, can I tell you what I'm getting?

Shannon Walbran
You can immediately tell me what you're getting.

Christine
I'm getting stuff needs to happen here, before that question can be answered.

Shannon Walbran
True. I heard it a little bit more positively. I heard if you clean your house here and if you close up house, you can move.

Christine
It's not bad.

Shannon Walbran
Hold it straight up in front of you, right in front of your nose. It's surprising how much it actually looks like the arched windows behind you in this shot. Looks kind of exactly where you are.

Christine
Yeah, I think it's personal, emotional stuff. I need to do a bit of work.

Shannon Walbran
And also the practical stuff - you're in a nice house there. Can you find a nice place there?

Christine
I love my house here.

Shannon Walbran
Oh, do you? Can you please save that card? Can you save it for now?
